Maura Soupper

I was the secretary of the project from 1st December 2016 until  August 2020.

Before joining this ERC-project, my endless curiosity drove me along different routes, contributing in building my multi-faceted profile. Starting from a degree in geography, passing by a Certificate in Advanced Studies as interior designer, and a professional experience in the banking sector, I am currently combining my activities as independent interior designer with this stimulating administrative position.

Growing in a Suisse Canton (Ticino) where the carnival period is long awaited and its meanings are rooted into a strong tradition of celebrations, the core ideas driving the ERC-project are not new to me. However, while I have always perceived carnival more as a festive event, I am now broadening my understandings to also its political aspects.
